Kara Bacon

Mrs. Bacon’s family joined St John’s Academy in 2014 and she has been a part of the faculty since 2018. She and her husband have been married for over 20 years, living in Florida for most of this time. They have two children that have thrived at the Academy for several years since they each started in Kindergarten.
Mrs. Bacon has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Art from Oregon State University. She has many years of experience working with children of all ages in various capacities from the classroom, to Sunday School, and working at summer camps in her early adult years. She loves her students as her own. Her past professional work in art has been in Graphic Design, advertising, and corporate identity. In the classroom, she and the art students dive in together with hands-on projects and art mediums that emulate our great historical, classical artists and historical art periods ranging from Ancient Egypt to modern time. Mrs. Bacon’s Art classes also include Art History and a broad overview of lifetime art skills for everyone. Above all, students learn how God is our Master Creator who formed us in His image and how beautiful the world is that He has created!
