Coach Popovitch is originally from Connecticut, and moved to Jacksonville in September 2023 with his wife Gianna. They met in college at Gordon College, a Christian school in Massachusetts, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He is currently studying for his Master’s degree in Sports Management, Athletic Administration and Coaching from Liberty University. 

Coach played baseball his whole life, all the way through college where he was an outfielder and a pitcher. Sports are his passion, as he has coached baseball and basketball of children K – high school age. This is his first year teaching professionally, but has been an aid at many levels, mostly in pre-k.

He and his wife attend Mission Way Church in Jacksonville and are members who lovingly serve the church. When he is not teaching, he loves fishing, golf, shooting skeet, and binge watching tv shows. He is eager to begin the year and minister to all the new students in P.E.
