Rachael Hamilton

6th – 8th Grade Literature & History

Mrs. Hamilton was born and raised in Tennessee. She earned her B.A. in English and Philosophy from Belmont University in Nashville. Prior to moving to Florida in 2009, she worked in a continuing education and professional development department at a university medical center. She and her husband, Jason, have been married for 20 years and they have one daughter who is a current student at St. John’s Academy.
As a natural organizer, Mrs. Hamilton loves teaching the children about library classification systems, the different parts of a book, and the similarities and differences between various literary genres and their forms. But she loves it most when, upon returning their books to the library, the students are eager with anticipation to tell her about the stories and subjects that have resonated with them.
