Mrs. Doheny graduated with a BA in Criminal Justice from Quinnipiac University, a liberal arts college in Hamden, Connecticut. Upon graduating, she moved to Panama City, FL and graduated from the police academy. She was sworn in as a police officer in 2010 and assigned to the investigative services section as a Detective in 2012, and as a Corporal in 2015. She served with the brave men and women of the Panama City Police Department for 7 years. While she was working in law enforcement, she obtained her MA in International Relations from Salve Regina University. She moved to Grand Junction, Colorado for her husband’s job and became a preschool teacher followed by a substitute kindergarten teacher at a private Christian school. After spending 5 years in Colorado, her husband’s job allowed them the opportunity to return to Florida to be closer to family. She moved to Saint Augustine in 2022 and was hired on by St. John’s Academy as a Kindergarten Teacher. She has a passion for teaching and is blessed to be a part of this wonderful school. She has been happily married to her husband Kevin for 14 years. They have a rising 3rd grader. Mrs. Doheny loves to travel with her family, read, and go to the beach.
