Exciting Things Happening at the Academy!
Mrs. Amanda Nivens has accepted the Assistant Principal position. Mrs. Nivens has been with SJA for 8 years as the 3rd grade teacher. Amanda is married to Morgan Nivens and their children Gabe and Chloe attended St. John’s Academy. She brings an abundance of creativity and a commitment to classical, Christian education. In her new role she will be working closely with the teachers ensuring consistency in all areas to the traditions and teachings established at St. John’s Academy over the last 26 years. Both Mrs. Nivens and Mrs. Wallis Brooks, Principal, have been working on their Master’s Degree in the Classics through Memoria College.
Miss Berkeley Peterson, our first returning alumna, is the new 3rd grade teacher. Miss Peterson graduated Magna Cum Laude from SJRSC with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Early Education. She has also received her Florida Teaching Certificate. Having attended SJA from Kindergarten through 8th grade, Miss Peterson can say without hesitation to her students, “If I can do it, you can do it!” In October Miss Peterson will become Mrs. Gregory, marrying her fiancé, Steven Gregory. Congratulations and welcome home Berkeley!
